Salary offers are based on the candidate's equivalent experience and internal equity with other employees within the same job classification.

In this role, you'll knowledgeably explain the various attractions the park holds and feel good knowing you enhanced the client experience!

At approximately 120,042 acres of parkland and 872-miles of trails, Maricopa County is home to one of the largest regional park systems in the nation.

We Require

  • Six months of customer service / public contact experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • A combination of post-secondary education and / or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis
  • May require regular vehicle travel between offsite locations, including other Maricopa County Parks or within the same park of distances greater than 1 mile
  • Must possess or have the ability to obtain a valid Arizona driver's license by the time of hire

We Also Value

  • One or more years of customer service / public contact experience
  • Cash handling experience using a computerized point of sale system
  • Customer service experience in a high-volume environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Outlook

Job Contributions

  • Greets park visitors
  • Checks-in and takes customers reservations in person and over the phone
  • Collects park use fees
  • Sells annual passes and balances and reconciles the cash drawer
  • Interprets park feature areas, rules, and regulations and checks campgrounds to ensure they comply with rules and regulations
  • Monitors radio and phone traffic and reports emergency calls

Working Conditions

This position may require working various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to walk to collect revenue in an outdoor climate with temperatures regularly over 100F.

Required to work individually and as a team in close physical proximity with the public. Frequently work in the entry station for 8 hours per day.
