Patent Attorney - Life Sciences/Biotechnology
Our client is a major Am law 100 firm, seeking a 2-3 year patent prosecution associate for its Intellectual Property Practice in Boston, New York, and Washington, DC. The salary for this position is between $225,000 to $250,000, depending upon experience.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of patent prosecution experience relating to life sciences and biotechnology, including pharmaceutical small molecule products, biological, gene therapy therapeutics, and medical devices.
- Experience in patent drafting, prosecution, opinions, and strategic agreements.
- A legal or science background at a biotechnology or pharmaceutical company is a plus.
- Degree in biology, biochemistry, chemistry, immunology, organic chemistry, or protein engineering, or related discipline. Ph.D. is preferred, although not required.
- USPTO admission [or eligible to become admitted].
- Excellent academic credentials with JD from accredited law school.
- Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
All candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.
