Marine Retailers Association of the Americas is Hiring a Sales Specialist Near Minneapolis, MN

The MRAA, a nonprofit trade association representing boat dealers and the boating industry across North America, is on a significant growth trajectory. With increaseing opportunities to serve our customers, we are seeking a skilled Sales Specialist to provide strong sales support, world-class customer service and the administration of an expanding array of sales efforts.

The MRAA works closely with boat and engine dealers, manufacturers and suppliers. Over the last decade, the MRAA has grown significantly and is poised for more growth and success in the years ahead. Our growing organization is seeking to further strengthen our sales initiatives, and we are seeking someone with a team support mentality who brings with them strong organizational skills as well as an understanding of sales administration.

Role Description: The MRAA Sales Specialist supports the sales effort for MRAA Partners, to include membership, conference exhibits and sponsorships, and other partnership-related efforts, and includes a special emphasis on database administration and analytics, customer service, and organization skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Support sales team by tracking program deliverables and fulfillment;
  • Track customer/prospect sales and engagement activity and metrics;
  • Provide outstanding customer service to customers and prospects;
  • Serve as liaison between sales and marketing teams to create efficiencies and effectiveness;
  • Organize and oversee delivery of annual conference Partner commitments;
  • Manage and ensure accuracy of Partner-related database/CRM;
  • Distribute materials to new members and customers;
  • Track and communicate with customers related to dues reminders; invoices; and accounts payable/receivable;

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience in sales coordination and customer service;
  • Strong database management and data entry skills;
  • Highly organized and self-motivated;
  • Strong communication skills;
  • An engaging, outgoing personality and ability to communicate well with team members, prospects and customers;
  • Passion for contributing to the success of the team and its sales and communication efforts;
