Positions Currently Available: Crew Lead

Responsibilities: As a Dock Repair Technician & Crew Lead at Marine Specialties, you will play a crucial role in managing full scale boat dock repair projects. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Responsible for monitoring and leading a team of 1-3 technicians
• Planning projects with the Sales Manager to ensure alignment of vision for the project. This includes pre-planning daily activities for the team and what needs to be accomplished each day
• Review daily work orders, inspect and verify that all materials, equipment and tools are loaded and are adequate to complete the daily assignment
• Assist crew members in loading and unload materials as needed
• Managing projects to scope and advising the Sales Manager of any potential changes to the project
• Safely operating hand tools, electric tools, and battery operated tools.
• Completing equipment maintenance forms, inventory paperwork, and other daily/weekly administrative tasks related to Dock Repair Installation.
• Adhere to Company Safety Standards and promote safety culture among crew members, including the proper use of machinery and equipment, and resolve problems when they arise
• Perform a comprehensive site clean up at the end of each project and at the end of each day
• Utilizing general handyman skills and basic mechanics knowledge to support various construction operations.

Skills and Abilities: To excel in this role, we are looking for candidates who possess the following skills and abilities:

• 3-4 years of construction experience in home framing and/or deck building
• Welding experience a must
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to problem solve in the field
• Strong attention to surroundings and weather conditions
• Experience pulling a 30' trailer and/or operating heavy equipment a plus
• Effective collaboration in a multi-cultural environment
• Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) is a plus
• Experience operating a boat and familiar with boating laws and regulations
• Works well in all elements of weather
• Recognizing different sizes, grades, and quality of materials

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must have a clean driving record with no traffic violations in the last 3 years.
• Successful completion of a drug test
• Clean background with no felonies on record
