Marinette School District is Hiring a Special Education Paraprofessional (Educational Associate) Near Marinette, WI

Marinette Primary School is seeking an energetic, self motivated individual to join our team as a full-time Educational Associate (Paraprofessional) supporting our Special Education students. The position will be responsible for supporting and assisting students, providing assistance that maximizes student learning under the direction of a classroom teacher, and providing assistance to help students meet the academic and functional individualized education plan (IEP) goals. Position offers 7.5 paid hours per day, with a 30 minute unpaid lunch. Work hours 7:30 Am to 3:30 PM

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • Knowledge of child growth and development
  • Ability to enunciate clearly and communicate positively throughout the work day
  • Knowledge of the teaching-learning process
  • Ability to work with people of various personality types
  • Current lifeguard certification preferred, or willingness to obtain certification.
  • Meet one of the following Hiring Requirements:
  • 1. Possess an Associates Degree
  • 2. Completion of a minimum of 2 years post-secondary education, or
  • 3. Taken and received a passing score on one of the DPI-approved assessments (WorkKeys ACT, Parapro-Assessment ETS or ParaEducator Master Teacher)
