Job Description:

Well-established leading parking lot line painting & maintenance corporation on the South Shore is seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Estimator to join our growing team.

The Construction Estimator will be responsible for estimating commercial and retail construction parking lots and roadway projects in a timely manner with full specifications and details, following submittals and RFI's.

We are seeking an estimating professional that is self-motivated, extremely well organized, and accurate; who excels in a fast-paced deadline oriented work environment, as a team player.

The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator with an ability to prioritize, pay attention to details, multi-task, work well under pressure meeting tight deadlines, and is passionate about estimating and growing with the organization.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Collaborate with project managers and clients to discuss and refine project scope and budget.
  • Analyze and interpret architectural plans, specifications, and project documents.
  • Form strong working relationships with project managers, subcontractors, architects, etc.
  • Assist PM in monitoring progress of existing jobs, scheduling, field related questions, etc.
  • Commit to deadlines, deliver accurate estimates in a timely manner and within budget.
  • Manage and respond to RFIs and submittals during the job acquisition cycle.
  • Attend on site pre-bid proposals and job meetings as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field is strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years construction estimating experience, preferably in commercial projects is strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in estimating takeoff software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, etc. ) and Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce.
  • Able to read, annotate, and print large architectural plans
  • High degree of organization and accuracy
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and customer service

  • Strong understanding of asphalt, paving, parking-lot construction and new sales
  • Ability to follow and track multiple projects of various complexity from start to proper close-out
