Market America Inc is Hiring a Quality Control Specialist Near Greensboro, NC
Essential Function and Responsibilities:
- Handles product quality control communication and correspondence with Product Managers, In-country Product Consultants and other applicable authorities for all domestic and international markets
- Prepares and maintains Product Stability Reports and Quality Assurance Reports (QAR) for all Market America products to include, but not limited to, beauty, jewelry, nutrition, and other household products manufactured and/or sold by Market America
- Assesses each lot of finished products for compliance according to specifications and regulations prior to release into all market locations, domestic and international, for Market America.
- Reviews and maintains copies of manufactured batch records for each lot of finished products to ensure proper completion and decision for proper approval or rejection of product.
- Coordinates and facilitates with vendors to ensure that raw material assessment and finished product shelf-life studies are in compliance with local regulations and national regulatory authorities.
- Analyzes and approves specifications, test methods, and results to ensure correct standards and compliance with applicable regulation requirements.
- Monitors product efficacy ranges to ensure a quality product is delivered to Market American consumers and customers.
- Oversee the HALAL product registration for Malaysia and Indonesia markets.
- Maintains and ensures compliance with necessary Code of Federal Register at all manufacturing, labeling, bottling, and storage facilities.
- May perform on-site vendor inspections and audits for compliance and continuous improvements.
- Analyzes, reviews, and coordinates documentation needs to support inter-departmental goals.
- Participates in the internal auditing, SOP development, and corrective and preventive action programs to develop, maintain, and improve overall quality management system.
- Ensures that complies with company policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as needed.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a science-related discipline
- Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in laboratory, pharmaceuticals, quality control or GMP qualification.
- Proficient use of MS Office programs: Word, Excel, and Outlook, required
- High energy level, comfortable performing multifaceted strategic projects in conjunction with day-to-day tactical activities
- Ability to get along and work with diverse personalities; tactful, mature, flexible
- Prioritizes and models good communication skills; follows up, timely responses, proactive and positive in approach
- Above moderate to high levels in reading comprehension, writing, and speaking in English; active listening; attention to detail; critical thinking; mathematics, creative problem solving; complex problem solving; and judgment.
- Remote work with business approval
- Annual conference participation and related travel
- In-person job role. Hybrid or remote work not available for this role.
- Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, cameras, photocopiers, and filing cabinets
- Regularly required to talk, walk, stand, bend, twist, reach with hands and arms, stoop kneel and crouch
- Must be able to perform in an office environment where ninety (90) percent of work is performed sitting.
