2nd shift: Monday-Friday from 4:00pm-12:30am
Creative Plastics, a Marketing Alliance Group company, is seeking an experienced Lead to join our growing team on 2nd shift for the Thermoforming Department. The position is responsible for the safe and efficient production of quality thermoformed parts for a discerning group of customers.
This position is responsible for the following:
- The safe and efficient production of thermoformed parts.
- Set up thermoform machines, process parts, confirm quality, and maintain machinery and tooling.
- Reviewing incoming orders to assure material and tooling are ready by the date production is to begin to complete the orders in a timely manner.
- Setting-up of 1st runs and inspecting quality required to effectively run components.
- Maintaining any required logs, check sheets, inspection sheets, and work orders.
- Continuously monitoring process conditions to ensure efficiency is maintained and quality standards are sustained.
- Actively participating in the prototyping and development process so that samples/prototypes are produced in a timely manner and communicate suggested changes that would improve the quality of the part or the processing of the part (efficiency, safety, etc.)
- Coordinate training for newly hired Operators and provide ongoing training to existing Operators.
- Maintain a fully operational, clean, and organized work environment during the entire process.
- Safeguard company policies, health, and safety regulations to meet safety compliance.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Characteristics/Skills required to be successful in the position:
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in a lead position in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong trouble shooting skills as it pertains to thermoforming equipment, tooling, and processing.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to utilize the tact and diplomacy required to foster a team environment while keeping production on schedule.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Self-motivated flexible team-player, with the persistence to following through on commitments in a timely manner.
- Ability to multi-task in fast paced, deadline driven environment.
