1) TITLE: Assistant General Manager
2) REPORTS TO: Vice President/General Manager
3) JOB DESCRIPTION:
a) Assist the Vice President/General Manager in overseeing daily operations of The Food and Shops program.
b) Assist in developing operational goals and objectives
c) Assist in developing and managing operating budgets
d) Assist with the implementation of programs to accomplish departmental goals and objectives.
e) Establish and maintain effective relationships with merchants, stakeholders and the Division of Aviation.
f) Ensure that all operational areas are maintained at a very high level.
g) Facilitate the successful implementation and management of the Risk Management program.
4) RESPONSIBILITIES:
a) Manage the operations program to ensure operational areas are functioning at high levels.
b) Lead the operations staff to the accomplishment of established goals.
c) Establish and maintain positive and effective relationships with merchants, the Division of Aviation and other airport entities.
d) Monitor Permitted Use for retail and food operations.
e) Manage the compliance of the Street Pricing Program.
f) Serve as operational liaison with the Division of Aviation.
g) Serve as liaison with Police, Fire, TSA, airlines, and other airport entities.
h) Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and manage expense control.
i) Oversight of Delivery and Distribution and all contract services for compliance with the established scope of work as outlined in the service agreement.
j) Work with on-site management team to assist in accomplishing established goals and objectives.
k) Work with the leasing team and tenant coordination to facilitate Design and Construction opening the opening of all merchants.
l) Assist in the preparation of monthly financial, marketing, specialty leasing, DBE and construction updates.
m) Manage all general liability and worker’s compensation claims.
n) Assist in negotiating all contract service agreements.
o) Serve as a key member of the Risk Management Team.
p) Participate in the Manager on Duty Program.
5) SPECIAL SKILLS:
a) Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
b) Excellent organization and time management skills.
c) Strong personnel management skills.
d) Accounting and budgeting skills.
6) EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
a) Bachelor’s degree.
b) Five years of experience in retail property management, or equivalent experience.
