* Bachelors degree.

* Minimum of 10 years of professional media leadership

* Experience leading in a similar organization at a national/international level; media industry experience strongly preferred.

* Understanding of key business drivers, financials, organizational structures and systems, how to align areas of responsibility to achieve goals, and how to get things done in a fast-paced professional media environment.

* Ability to create a culture in which professionals want to do their best by fostering open dialog and creating strong morale; capable of leveraging peoples strengths

* Demonstrated ability to build strong, supportive and collaborative relationships and relate effectively internally as well is externally.

* Must have an ear for talent and an ability to build strong, effective teams.

* High degree of professional integrity.

* Appreciation for non-profit mission while operating with a strong business focus.

* Masters degree with emphasis on Journalism, Business, History or English.

* Professional broadcast media leadership experience

* General Management leadership skills, including experience in business development, budget management, brand management, strategic deal-making and familiarity with philanthropic development

* Substantial digital and/or broadcast experience, a strong affinity for journalism, a proven ability to lead a high-profile, fast-moving enterprise and strong cultural fluency including a track record of achievement in diversity, equity and inclusion.

* Must be able to perform the essential duties of the position with or without reasonable accommodation

* Physical Demands:

Required to move about in an office environment and sit for extended periods of time

Frequent use of hands for data entry/keystrokes and simple grasping.

* Working Conditions:

Moderate noise level

Occasional exposure to prevalent weather conditions.
