Description:

Markon is creating a team to provide Construction Management support the Central Western Massachusetts Health Case System at the Northampton Veteran Affairs Medical Center (VAMC). The team will be providing Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) Infrastructure support through this project. The team will provide a wide range of support services related to infrastructure improvements. Work will cover the construction phase of this project and include support of the financial data and budget, scheduling, document management, and site inspection. The government requires a broad range of professional and technical consultative assistance on this project. Our team will be supporting as an owner’s representative.

Duties may include: 

• Review contractor submittals for technical compliance, 
• Provide administration and oversight to all project disciplines. 
• Review for the development of project documentation, including final contract documents, 
• Review contractor change proposals and cost breakdowns, 
• Monitor the construction for Quality Assurance, 
• Identify deficiencies in the contractor’s work in relation to the construction documents 
• Monitor ongoing construction activities to verify the documentation received from the construction contractor is following schedule, and that completed work meets the design standards, 
• Assist in maintaining accurate job files with as-built drawings and specifications

• Possess a degree from an accredited institution of higher learning, or evidence work experience or knowledge to compensate for absence of higher education. A minimum of three (3) years of construction work experience may be substituted and will be reviewed for acceptability
• Quickly understand and master the requirements of the local, state and federal jurisdictions and the requirements of the project
• Possess Communication, Language, and Software Skills with the ability to utilize a variety of software programs to monitor, update, and produce work products by applying knowledge of computer literacy
• Provide overall management for project documentation. 
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
