Description:

Markon’s partner company is seeking a Software Engineer to support our Intelligence Customer.

Responsibilities may include:

• Managing Linux hosts (RHEL or CENTOS) in an enterprise environment.
• Deploying worldwide enterprise solutions.
• Installing, configuring and managing Linux operating systems.
• Configuring and troubleshooting network components.
• Implementing operating systems enhancements.
• Prototyping enterprise scale solutions.
• Developing and supporting Java/Javascript, C/C , MySQL, and SQL Server applications
• Performing detailed analysis

Requirements:

• On-the-job experience in a Systems Engineering or Systems Architecture role.
• Experience with Puppet, Splunk, Jira, Confluence, and Jenkins.
• Experience working with AWS-based solutions.
• Experience with writing scripts in Bash and Python.
• Experience executing shell scripts.
• Experience deploying applications.
• Experience with Java/Javascript, C/C , MySQL, and SQL Server applications.
• Experience with Nessus.
• Experience using Agile methodologies.

Desired Skills:

• Demonstrated experience with VMWare and RAID configurations.
• Demonstrated experience with cloud infrastructure and technologies.
• Demonstrated experience with Cloudwatch.
• Demonstrated experience using the Atlassian Suite of tools.
• Demonstrated experience with the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP).
• Demonstrated experience using the command line to interact with LDAP repositories.
• Demonstrated experience with XML schemas.
• Demonstrated experience with the Sponsor’s systems lifecycle.
• Certifications: VMWare Certified Professional, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Red Hat System Certified Administrator.
