We are on the lookout for a motivated Finance & Accounting Intern to join our Chicago team. Our innovative platform empowers leading machine manufacturers with market intelligence, driving revenue, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
Based in our vibrant Chicago office, this internship offers a hands-on opportunity to apply your analytical skills in a real-world business setting, working alongside industry experts and innovators, collaborating closely with our senior team members, you'll contribute to strategic initiatives aimed at propelling us towards our billion-dollar milestone. What we expect you to own and run with:

• Take full ownership of accounting responsibilities including monthly reporting, invoicing, transaction postings, and invoice payments.
• Act as the main liaison for financial and accounting inquiries from both the German and US offices.
• Manage customer interactions independently, serving as the primary contact for invoice and contract-related questions.
• Offer assistance to various departments like Customer Success and Operations, facilitating a well-rounded understanding of different facets within the startup.
• Explore flexible opportunities for exposure to other areas of interest within the company to maximize the learning experience.

Which boxes you need to check:

• Pursuing a degree in Business Administration, International Business, Economics, or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to interpret and present complex data in a clear and concise manner.
• Eagerness to learn about SaaS business models, industry trends, and market dynamics.
• Attention to detail and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Prior internship experience in business analysis, consulting, or a related field is a plus.
• Adaptability and a proactive attitude towards learning new tools and methodologies.
• Legal eligibility to work in the US without requiring visa sponsorship.
