Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Inspects, maintains, and repairs all District equipment and facilities using varied carpentry, electrical, masonry, plumbing and other skills.
• Inspects, maintains, and repairs all landscapes, grounds, fields and athletic facilities.
• Uses varied tools and equipment to perform assigned tasks.
• Installs, repairs and maintains lighting and electrical fixtures, equipment, wiring and related
• Installs, repairs and maintains plumbing fixtures, equipment, pipes and related items.
• Installs, repairs and maintains doors, windows, walls, partitions, ceilings, floors, furnishings and related
• Performs painting, masonry, roofing, grounds work and other tasks.
• Performs preventive and routine maintenance and services including inspections, repairs and other related
• Move equipment, furniture, furnishings, file cabinets, supplies, materials and other items from one location to another.
• Assist with setting up for events.
• Considered an essential employee and must report to work to assist with snow and ice removal and if an emergency occurs outside the normal work schedule.
• Operates vehicles and heavy equipment to perform assigned
• Maintains service records and completes necessary repair forms.
• Keeps shop clean and orderly and maintains tools in good working
• Maintains equipment for safety inspections according to the guidelines of the PA Department of Labor and

Other Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• May be required to assist other maintenance duties like grounds and field maintenance.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; and
• Five (5) years accredited experience in one or more of the needed trades; and
• Knowledge of and ability to use tools, basic shop and test equipment; and
• Must possess or obtain a valid Pennsylvania driver’s
• Basic computer skills are required.

Physical, Mental and Work Environment Conditions:

• The person, while performing in this position, will be required to walk, stoop, bend, crawl and climb stairs with frequent standing, reaching, stooping, kneeling twisting, and
• Must be able to lift, pull, push and carry items occasionally weighing more than 25 pounds from one location to another.
