General Description

The Senior Infrastructure Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the stability and efficiency of the company's IT infrastructure. This position is responsible for managing and maintaining both onsite and remote IT systems, troubleshooting complex technical issues, and implementing solutions to enhance system performance. The role involves planning and executing installations and upgrades of hardware and software, monitoring system health, and responding to service outages. The Senior Infrastructure Engineer will also contribute to the strategic planning of IT initiatives and support users across multiple geographic locations.

Responsibilities:

• Provide advanced support for operating systems, including macOS and Windows environments, by performing setup, troubleshooting, and daily operations.
• Manage and resolve network connectivity issues, demonstrating expertise in networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
• Configure and troubleshoot Google Workspace applications, including Gmail, Drive, Docs, and Calendar.
• Lead the management and optimization of Microsoft 365 services, focusing on the company's transition to a Microsoft-centric infrastructure.
• Deliver help desk support to non-technical users with a focus on clear communication and advanced troubleshooting for common issues, including those related to printers and other network-connected devices.
• Diagnose and resolve complex hardware and software issues.
• Assist with cybersecurity tasks and implementations to ensure the security and integrity of IT systems.
• Configure new workstations, assemble PCs, set up peripherals, and connect them to the network.
• Manage user accounts across various systems, including creation, management, and deletion.
• Install and set up software applications and operating system updates.
• Configure and manage settings on iOS devices, including iPads, as needed.
• Lead small IT projects, applying project management skills and fostering team collaboration.
• Document IT processes and solutions, contributing to the organizational knowledge base.
• Support security audits by gathering and organizing necessary information.
• Manage access controls and building security systems; oversee technical and building support maintenance.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Educational & Experience:

• 3 to 5 years of experience as Infrastructure Engineer or Senior IT support role.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field highly desirable
• Microsoft certifications are highly desirable
• A combination of education and experience may be considered
• Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft infrastructure ecosystem.

Other Skills/Experience:

• Ability to work independently with strong decision-making skills
• Knowledge of the Apple ecosystem, including Business Manager
• Proficiency in Google Workspace and G-Suite applications
• Demonstrates initiative in learning new technologies and software through internal training sessions
• Understanding of tools for monitoring the health and performance of IT systems
• Basic understanding of cloud services such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
• Basic knowledge of AI technologies (such as ChatGPT) and prompt engineering is highly valued.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time, life and/or move up to 25 pounds
