Dispatcher - 2nd Shift
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES.
The Dispatcher is responsible for managing and directing deliveries, installations, pickups and schedules. The dispatcher is responsible for ensuing all deliveries and pick ups are accomplished in a professional, cost effective manner. Additionally, the dispatcher is responsible for communicating effectively with drivers and route personnel to monitor route progress,

• Breaks down work load into assignments and prioritizes and delegates assignments to staff.
• Monitors productivity and quality objectives.
• Develops and oversees methods and procedures for transportation of rental equipment and supplies from Company warehouses to Customers, other warehouses or other storage facilities.
• Determines most efficient and economical routing and mode of transportation.
• Directs scheduling of deliveries and notification of concerned departments or customers of arrival dates and approximate times.
• Communicates with customers regarding delivery schedules, delivery problems and installation issues.
• Oversees the tracking of all DOT driver requirements such as driver mileage logs and reports/investigates all driver accidents to the General Manager.
• Ensures all packing supplies and installation equipment is in stock.
• Ensures company and leased delivery vehicles are inspected and serviced at proper intervals.
• Develops and implements an effective process of selecting, and training staff.
• Identifies and corrects communication errors between Sales, Logistics and Customers in order to improve Customer satisfaction.
• Coordinates timely scheduling of after-hours pickups and deliveries, as needed.
• Initiates investigations into causes of damages or shortages in delivered or returned orders.
• Follows all report procedures for safety violations and injuries.
• Adheres to all company policies, procedures, rules and regulations in written or verbal form.
• Complies with company and government safety requirements (including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment) and other regulations.
• Attends department, location and safety meetings.

Strong communication skills in written and verbal form

Logistics / Routing / Operations background a plus but not required
Bi-lingual (Eng / Spanish) a plus but not required
