Job Description:
The ideal role for the early bird, baristas will be in charge of brewing coffee- and tea-based drinks for our guests. This is generally a fast-paced position at Killebrew, and multitasking and attention to detail are important skills. Baristas will be expected to be knowledgeable about restaurant pastries, as well as the drinks on the coffee and tea menu. We are looking for a barista with great customer service skills, who will be friendly and engaging with guests. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
About Killebrew:
Located on the ground floor of the Thompson Nashville, Killebrew is a neighborhood coffee shop serving up Revelator coffee and a daily selection of house-made pastries.
Qualifications:
Required: Must be at least 18 years of age. Previous barista experience and knowledge of equipment. Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position (lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for up to 8 hours, operating coffee equipment). Basic arithmetic skills and previous cash handling experience. Must be able to work as a team and get along with guests and coworkers. Must be able to uphold company standards relating to appearance and dress.
Preferred: High school diploma or GED. Skills with latte art a plus.
