Responsibilities:
- Draft and file legal documents, including pleadings, discovery, motions, and other filings
- Assist in all aspects of case management, including maintaining and organizing case files, discovery, managing case calendars, and ensuring deadlines are met
- Order and summarize medical records
- Assist with providing materials to expert witnesses
- Aid in trial preparation
- Conduct research to support legal proceedings
- Previous experience as a paralegal (5 years preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved paralegal program preferred
- Familiarity with legal drafting and court filing systems
- Proficiency in word processing, such as Microsoft Word and related technology
- Ability to be organized, prioritize and multitask
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
