The Institutional Data Analyst in the Office of Institutional Effectiveness (OIE) is pivotal in driving the university's use of data for evidence-based strategic planning, policy-making, and decision-making processes. The primary responsibility of this position is to collect, analyze, and interpret data about multiple aspects of the university's operations, including enrollment, academic performance, retention, graduation rates, student services, faculty, and other institutional metrics. The Institutional Data Analyst will proactively collaborate with the information technology (IT) and the registrar's office to champion systematic data processing using consistent definitions and standards. Additionally, the Institutional Data Analyst will develop and manage enterprise systems for data visualization and reporting to elevate institutional research and serve as an integral component of a cross-university team of administrators and staff to efficiently disseminate relevant data to various stakeholders from a centralized data repository. This position demands strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex data findings clearly and effectively.

In the early ‘70s the College moved to its current home in Fullerton, CA and was renamed Southern California College of Optometry.
