Job Description
- Hybrid-Remote Position - Must be located within 60 miles of Placerville, CA *
Position QualificationsKnowledge
- Comprehensive working knowledge of CPT, HCPS, ICDP coding, all insurance carrier billing and appeals processes.
- Previous PC, insurance billing software, medical terminology in a caregiver setting experience required. Working knowledge of workers compensation, CHDP, CMSP, Medi-Cal, MEDICARE, HMO, capitation, PACT, BCDEP claims preferred.
- Must be able to take and pass a proficiency exam to demonstrate experience for this position.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills to be exhibited in a multitask flexible environment.
- Ability to stand up to and converse, through written and oral communication, to all insurance carriers, while demonstrating a positive, professional, and knowledgeable attitude in order to obtain correct and timely coding and reimbursement.
- Ten-key skill required.
