This position is day shift and weekend work is only as needed.What you will do as a General Maintenance II WorkerThe General Maintenance II Worker performs construction renovations and alterations in a commercial setting to areas both on and off campus. This position leads/recommends Electrician initiatives to the R&A Shop Manager regarding installing, maintaining, modifying, repairing, and removal of Electrical systems, devices, and related controls. This position provides journeyman level Electrician expertise. Supports all other Trades aspects of Renovation & Alterations Shop. Responsible for maintaining commercial buildings in a safe, orderly, and proper working condition. Knowledge of the tools, equipment, and materials commonly used in a commercial setting to the electrical trade. As a team member of the Renovation & Alterations Shop, the position will also perform work in support of other trades including plumbing, painting/drywall, carpentry, and HVAC work as well as demolition work.
