Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and evaluate educational programs for nursing staff, focusing on critical care, pediatrics, and acute care.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops on various topics including anatomy, physiology, and HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with clinical leaders to identify educational needs within the hospital setting.
- Provide mentorship and support to nursing staff to enhance their clinical skills and knowledge.
- Assess the effectiveness of educational initiatives through feedback and performance evaluations.
- Stay current with advancements in nursing practices and integrate new knowledge into training programs.
- Facilitate orientation programs for new hires in a teaching hospital environment.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development among nursing staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Current RN license in good standing.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting, preferably in critical care or ICU.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and patient care practices.
- Previous experience in education or training roles is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
