Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Behavior Technician to join our team. The Behavior Technician will work with individuals, particularly children, with autism or other developmental disabilities to implement behavior plans designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs).
Responsibilities:
- Implement behavior intervention plans
- Provide one-on-one Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to individuals
- Collect and record data on client behavior
- Assist in the development of care plans and goals
- Work collaboratively with families and caregivers
- Utilize behavioral therapy techniques to teach new skills and reduce challenging behaviors
Requirements:
- Experience working with individuals with autism or related developmental disabilities
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques
- Familiarity with data collection methods
- Understanding of medical documentation and terminology
- Ability to follow care plans effectively
- Background in special education is a plus
-Teaching certificate (doesnt need to be updated)
-some form of certification that specializes in children with autism
-Bachelors degree
-Some interest in learning some Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
