    What will you do?

    In this role, you will control nearly every aspect of the manufacturing process creating Computer Numerical Control (CNC) programs, as well as setting up and operating 5-axis CNC equipment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Analyze job orders, drawings, blueprints, specifications, and design data to calculate dimensions, tool selection, machine speeds, and feed rates.
    • Create CNC programs using Cam software.
    • Determine the sequence of machine operations and select the proper cutting tools needed to machine workpieces into the desired shapes.
    • Set up CNC equipment to perform the task at hand, set up work holding fixtures, set/install/calibrate tools using a wireless intuitive probing system, and set work offsets using a probing system.
    • Observe machines on trial runs or conduct computer simulations to ensure that programs and machinery will function properly and produce items that meet specifications.
    • Modify existing programs to enhance efficiency.
    • Work safely and wear required PPE for an entire shift.
    • Help to maintain machines and work areas in a clean and safe manner.
    • Work in other areas or departments as assigned.
    • Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

    Key Competencies:

    • High School Graduate or GED
    • Minimum 2 years experience Setting up/ Programming a 5-Axis-Mill-Turn Center
    • Experience programming a CNC lathe a plus
    • Knowledge of basic machining practices and materials is a plus, as is general mechanical knowledge
    • Cam software experience is preferred
    • Manufacturing experience in the same or similar industry
    • Good math skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and managers
    • Ability to work with others and be a team player
    • Ability to work in non-climate-controlled shop environment
    • Analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Accuracy and quality mindset
    • Reliability
