Martinrea International is Hiring a Regional Supplier Quality Engineer Near Auburn, MI

Job description:

The Second Party Auditor must be a qualified ISO Lead Auditor, or a qualified internal auditor with evidence of their successful completion of training, and a minimum of five internal ISO/TS 16949:2009 and/or IATF 16949:2016 audits under the supervision of a qualified lead auditor and the 2nd Party Auditor Certificate.

Main responsibilities:

  • Perform on site Supplier audits as well as, review Supplier Self Assessments
  • Review Supplier APQP to ensure timely gate closure.
  • Support PPAP activities
  • Assist Supplier with any concerns they may find during the PPAP process
  • Perform on site control plan and PFMEA reviews
  • Perform on site Run@Rate to verify Supplier capacity
  • Review all elements of the PPAP submission from the supplier to the AIAG standard and approve or reject as necessary
  • Support day to day operations that involve supplier products
  • Issue SNCRS
  • Follow up as necessary until the Supplier has determined root cause and submitted corrective action
  • Perform on site verification of Supplier corrective actions
  • Work with Suppliers who have habitually bad scorecard performance Follow up with supplier who have poor PPM, CPM and On Time Delivery
  • Review Supplier CQI’s and ensure they are submitted annually
  • Follow all SQA related items through SCOGO
  • Be a part of Tech Reviews as necessary

Applicant Requirements:

  • ·Certified IATF16949 second party auditor
  • ·Certified VDA6.3 auditor
  • ·Knowledge of the AIAG core tools
  • oAPQP
  • oPPAP
  • oSPC
  • ·Understanding of CQI process audits
  • ·Experience performing on site audits to include follow up and closure of all action items
  • ·Ability to travel up to 50%
  • ·Ability to understand Statistical Process Control and advise Suppliers when the process is close or near out of control
  • ·Proven experience in 8D and Lean problem solving
  • ·Strong communication skills in the English language, both written and verbal
  • ·Ability to perform well under pressure
  • ·Strong organizational skills
  • ·Proficient in Microsoft Office
