Summary of Position:
The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for dishes, glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, and other kitchen equipment. You will also assist with kitchen prep work and cleaning duties as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using dishwashers or by hand
- Ensure all dishes are properly cleaned, sanitized, and stored
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling vegetables or portioning ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, equipment, and utensils
- Empty trash containers regularly
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain a smooth workflow
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service setting is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of basic culinary techniques is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team
