Job Title: Float Pool Nurse – PACU
Employment Type: Part-Time / Hours and Shifts Flexible
Location: Germantown, MD
Description:
- Using the Quality Caring Model, the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) RN demonstrates expertise in the performance and application of the nursing process to plan and manage the care of patients in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit.
- Must have availability to work 60-84 hours in a 6-week schedule.
- Monitors surgical patients’ condition through post anesthesia recovery period utilizing regular contact and assessment.
- Educate patients and family
- Plan continuum of care
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program; basic professional nursing degree (BSN or MSN) preferred. Note, if the BSN or MSN degree is not present on hire, the employee must sign an agreement to obtain a within a specific time frame.
- Current licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing or Compact State as a Registered Nurse.
- BLS certification (issued through the American Heart Association)
- At least 1 year of nursing experience in a PACU setting.
- BSN or MSN preferred
