DescriptionManager, Program Operations (Hybrid)Energy Efficiency, BGE OperationsLocation: Columbia, MD (Hybrid – Home Office and Local Office Travel)Are you ready to make a difference?We are seeking an Operations Lead for our Energy Efficiency division to manage program implementation work in Maryland for our Baltimore Gas and Electric (BGE) portfolio. The Operations Lead will work with a cross-functional team of program management, outreach, technical and marketing personnel as well as actively lead project delivery, strategy, and market development efforts. This role will eventually lead a team of direct reports (primarily Project Coordinators) to oversee technical desk reviews of projects.
What You Will Be DoingThe Operations Lead will work with the Mid-Atlantic Operations Manager, client portfolio leads, residential and commercial program managers, and the broader Mid-Atlantic team to develop and deliver a holistic strategy and consistent client delivery. The role will also coordinate across multiple large portfolios, leverage regional staff based on fluctuating workloads, and develop best practices for programmatic functions such as project reviews, performance tracking, client deliverables, and project startup activities. The Operations Lead will directly support BGE clients (and indirectly support other Maryland utility clients) through the following responsibilities:

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:
$71,958.00 - $122,328.00

The role will also coordinate across multiple large portfolios, leverage regional staff based on fluctuating workloads, and develop best practices for programmatic functions such as project reviews, performance tracking, client deliverables, and project startup activities. The Operations Lead will directly support BGE clients (and indirectly support other Maryland utility clients) through the following responsibilities:
Direct the quality and performance of the team responsible for the following tasks:
- Timely and accurate commercial project reviews for both pre and post installation.
- Coordination of regular program-level deliverables (weekly reports, forecasting, etc.), working with project managers to add qualitative information and portfolio lead for final quality review
- (a) Compile/verify forecasts reports
- (b) Track contractual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and coordinate with portfolio manager on any necessary corrective action plans
- Support internal and external team meetings by prepping and pulling quantitative data, coordinating with project managers on qualitative inputs, coordinating with portfolio lead on agenda, hosting meeting, and documenting action items
- Coordination with rebate processing team to ensure all incentives are processed. Ensure timely customer and subcontractor payments.
- Generate accurate and polished deliverables for all regulatory filings, reports, and presentations.
- Coordinate with portfolio manager for final inputs and approvals.
- Maintain and update shared files, resources and program documents to ensure all program staff has access to latest versions of materials.
- Coordinate with program managers to develop and maintain portfolio-level performance forecasts and trend analysis.
- Maintain business workflow documents and keep process guides updated.
- Draft/compile program awards for clients. Coordinate with marketing to oversee accurate program promotions and information.
- Ensure that the programs are performing as expected, and explain forecasted variances.
- Collaborate with program managers to ensure all activities related to quality program delivery are executed.
- Present performance metrics to internal and external stakeholders.
- Review and approve large projects in a timely manner and with high attention to detail.
- Process/track SLM/Scheduler/Vision access and badge requests.
- Field requests from subcontractors.
- Assist with JIRA tickets.
- Assist with monthly data verification.
- Coordinate regularly with engineers and project coordinators to ensure standard operating procedures are followed.
- Conduct final desk reviews of projects over a certain incentive threshold.
- Manage bandwidth of team and adjust staffing strategies as needed.
- Must have a reliable vehicle for local travel. Requirements are between 5% to 10% of the time. (reimbursement for mileage provided)
- Bachelor's degree (candidates can substitute one year of experience for each year of education)
- 4 years of experience supporting, developing, or administering successful demand side management programs
- Knowledge of the utility and energy efficiency, demand response, and distributed energy resource programs and markets
- Certifications related to operational excellence (PMP, Six Sigma, etc.) and/or industry specific certificates (LEED, BPI, RESNET, etc.)
- Sound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information
- Ability to work with all levels of internal staff, as well as outside clients
- Superior interpersonal skills including courtesy, professionalism, and a cooperative attitude
- Strong project management skills
- Outstanding analytical skills and attention to detail
- Advanced MS Excel experience and skills
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills
- Timeliness and strong work ethic
