We offer many opportunities for growth, a rewarding experience and an excellent benefits package About Case Aide PositionThe Case Aide for the Unaccompanied Children’s Program, under the supervision of the Lead Case Manager, supports program case management team in the family reunification process of children who are newly arrived in our country. The Case Aide is supervised by the Lead Case Manager. Essential Functions
Works directly with the Lead Case Manager for completion of Family Reunification Packet (FRP) and on-going reunification reports
Assists program Case Managers, when directed by the Lead Case Manager, with the submission of cases for release and facilitation of discharge
Assists the Lead Case Manager to ensure that resident files are compliant with Maryville and federal government regulations
Provides support in telephonic communications of parents, sponsors and children
Performs administrative duties as requested, including creating documents and reports,
Assists Lead Case Manager in the maintenance and/or modification of agency data collection system and assist with completion of necessary statistical reports as requested
Supports planning process oriented toward safe family reunification, preparation for return to the country of origin, transfer to a higher level of care
Consistently documents the provision of services in case files, when assigned to specific tasks by the Lead Case Manager
Ensures case files include intake, assessment, legal, education, medical, and mental health information.
Assists case management team in ensuring timely notification of appropriate personnel, parents, and agencies regarding incident reports, medical/dental emergencies, and other events.
Attends required meetings; participates in formal and informal professional training
Upholds Maryville’s and ORR Zero Tolerance of sexual abuse policies in compliance with the Interim Final Rule
Other duties as assigned by the Lead Case Manager.
Education/ExperienceMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in relevant behavioral/social sciences field
1 year of experience in case management or in child welfare services preferred
Skills /Knowledge
Bilingual English/Spanish language competency required;
Strong communication and organizational skills;
Strong skills in Microsoft Office and web-based databases;
Strong sense of ethics and capacity to interact with ORR stakeholders;
Demonstrated willingness to be a team player;
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Salary43-46K Physical Demands
Required to frequently sit, stand, bend, stoop and walk, sometimes for extended periods; able to walk up and down stairs;
Required to lift/move objects and/or youth weighing in excess of 40 pounds;
Must have visual, hearing, and learning capabilities sufficient to perform the essential functions defined above.
Environment And Scheduling
Work is performed in designated program;
Duties involve contact with youth who may be traumatized;
Will be scheduled to work on weekends and/or holidays.
