MARYVILLE CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT is Hiring a Bus Driver SPED Near Maryville, TN

Purpose StatementThe position of Bus Driver (Special Education) was established for the purpose of providing a safe and welcoming environment for our students to get to and from school every day. The driver ensures the supervision of special needs students meets Maryville City expectations; observing, documenting, and communicating ways to improve.
This position reports to the Director of Transportation.
Essential Functions
  • Assists students in loading and unloading on the bus to the proper places safely.
  • Driving a bus in a safe manner
  • Abiding by all TN state laws to ensure bus is safe and operable
  • Attends meetings and in-service presentations as needed (e.g. first aid, CPR, emergency procedures, behavior management, CPI training, IEPs, etc.) for the purpose of acquiring and/or conveying information relative to job functions.
Other FunctionsPerforms other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
ResponsibilityResponsibilities include: working with drivers, attendants, parents, and students to ensure each student is transported safely and ready to engage at school.

Postition SpecificsFull-time with benefits; 6-8 hrs/day

Certificates & LicensesCDL or in process/willing to obtain a CDL with P&S endorsements
