Posting DetailsJob Summary/Basic FunctionTransform the higher education experience for Maryville University’s learners by driving the strategic plan through alignment, prioritization, execution, and management of key projects, while delivering exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management Standards:
Establish project management methodologies, standards, and best practices to ensure consistency and efficiency across all projects.
Develop standard procedures for project management.
Collaboration and Prioritization:
Work with senior leadership to prioritize projects based on institutional needs and resource availability.
Collaborate with senior leadership and OSI to develop real-time dashboards and reporting metrics for the PMO.
Project Planning and Execution:
Create project plans and make necessary adjustments to address issues and setbacks.
Manage multiple concurrent projects to achieve deliverables and objectives, ensuring optimal cost, schedule, and resource utilization.
Monitor and measure performance towards project completion with a focus on continuous improvement.
Requirements Gathering and Analysis:
Facilitate requirements gathering and design discussions from project intake through completion.
Analyze requirements and proposed solutions against existing systems and tools to maximize resources.
Data Utilization and Reporting:
Use data to inform planning and document progress towards project completion and the university’s strategic goals.
Conduct after-action reviews to identify and share key learnings from completed projects, incorporating lessons learned into future projects.
Stakeholder Communication and Collaboration:
Promote cross-department and team collaboration to drive project goals and objectives.
Facilitate communications with key stakeholders to provide insight and visibility.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance project efficiency.
Build and maintain standard project management templates, workflows, and processes to ensure efficiency and consistency.
Training and Best Practices:
Contribute to building best practices and training to foster a culture of understanding project management concepts.
Additional Responsibilities:
Minimum QualificationsPerform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
Knowledge of higher education business processes (preferred).
Proficiency in using technologies and tools such as Microsoft Office suite, Slack, and Asana.
Basic knowledge of enterprise systems such as Salesforce CRM and Ellucian Colleague (preferred).
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Project Management.Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects from initiation to closure, including project portfolio management.
Demonstrated ability to lead and drive change management.
Ability to document functional needs and translate them into technical requirements.
Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data and trends to inform decision-making and mitigate risks.
Adaptable, intuitive, and flexible in a dynamic environment.
Ability to provide excellent customer service, maintain confidentiality, and be diplomatic.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate and collaborate effectively.
Self-starter with a strong sense of initiative.
Passion for technology, innovation, and enhancing the student experience.
Ability to meet strict deadlines.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional/technical experience.
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or equivalent (preferred).
