- Under direct supervision, performs bookkeeping and accounting tasks.
- Posts journal or voucher entries, reconciles accounts, and checks for accuracy.
- Verifies, sorts, posts, and checks claims, bills, invoices, and vouchers.
- Typically requires a high school education or equivalent. Frequently reports to an Accounting Supervisor.
- Performs light clerical duties within an accounting function.
- May type, match payments, check items on purchase orders, prepare bank deposits, and perform other routine calculations with specific instructions.
- Have 10 key skills by touch or sight. Is familiar with computers (and basic principles of A/P or A/R).
- Performs basic accounting functions requiring knowledge of accounts payable and receivable and of bank reconciliation functions.
- Answers customer inquiries. Researches problems and/or complaints. Creates and edits spreadsheets.
- Can perform any combination of routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain primary financial data for use in maintaining accounting records.
- 3-5 years of experience with journal entries and account reconciliation.
- SAP experience preferred.
- Must be able to report to Cranberry office 3 days per week (Wed. is only mandatory day, employee may select other 2 as desired).
- Must be willing to work late during month end close (typically 1st and 2nd workday of each month but may shift due to global holidays).
- No time off will be approved during month end closing.
