Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team. As a Construction Estimator, you will be responsible for analyzing project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine the overall cost of construction projects. Your expertise in estimating and cost control will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our construction projects.

Duties:

- Review project plans, specifications, and other relevant documents to understand project requirements

- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors

- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop comprehensive project budgets

- Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid to assist in the estimation process

- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing

- Evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers to determine the most cost-effective options

- Monitor project costs throughout the construction process and identify areas for cost savings

- Collaborate with the construction management team to ensure projects are completed within budget

- Provide support in project management activities as needed

Skills:

- Strong knowledge of construction estimating principles and techniques

- Proficiency in using software tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid for estimating purposes

- Excellent negotiation skills to obtain competitive pricing from suppliers and subcontractors

- Solid understanding of contract documents and ability to interpret them accurately
