Masis Professional group is seeking a Warehouse Shipper for a local client in South Deerfield, MA. This is a temporary, contract role.

Monday through Friday 12PM-8PM.

$21-$23/HR

SUMMARY

Performs various material movement duties including basic operation of computer systems, categorizing freight and other similar duties to ship company’s products and materials.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Works from computer systems procedures, purchase orders, written and/or verbal instructions, established shipping procedures, methods, and practices.

· Counts, weighs, and checks outgoing shipments, reports shortages, damage or obvious defects to supervisor.

· Packages, straps, weighs, and labels shipments.

· Operates internal computer system to determine status of products and track products. Maintains records as instructed.

· Detects and reports improper operations, faulty equipment, defective materials and questionable conditions to proper supervision.

· Maintains work area(s) and equipment in a clean, orderly and safe condition.

· Maintains daily production and other records as required.

· Follows company policies and practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook and/or applicable employment agreement. Follows safety guidelines and procedures in accordance to the job.

· Performs additional duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

· High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

· Minimum of 1-2 years experience in shipping.

· Ability to follow verbal and/or written instructions.

· Must be certified to drive forklifts or pass certification exam during initial trial period.

· Must be able to operate in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

· While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be constantly required to execute standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. stand, walk, sit, use hands/fingers).

· While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be occasionally required to execute non-standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch).

· Ability to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
