Position Description:
The Associate Director of Development is primarily responsible for the Capital Campaign management for the Masonic Home of Virginia. The position requires identifying and working with Major Donors to direct the MAHOVA Board, Director of Development and others with their work on the Campaign. This position has high visibility and accountability as it requires communication with Masons throughout Virginia to plan and coordinate donor identification, bridge-building, solicitation and record keeping for the Campaign. Familiarity with structure and operation of major fraternal or affinity organizations, and travel in Virginia to make presentations about the Campaign to Masons, Masonic lodges and related fraternal organizations, will be required. Must be at MAHOVA’s Richmond headquarters at least once a week.
This position reports to and assists the Director of Development as needed. Coordinates with the CSM promoting MAHOVA across as many physical and social platforms as appropriate, and drafting marketing materials as needed.
Education:
College degree, preferably in business, sales and marketing success and non-profit, non-profit fundraising, fraternal or affinity organization and/or healthcare administration experience or related discipline preferred.
Qualifications:
A minimum of five years’ management experience with major/principal gift campaign work, demonstrated ability in cultivating personal relationships and ability to exercise diplomacy and discretion. Experience in a setting requiring significant individual interpersonal interaction such as sales, marketing or fundraising; strong written and verbal, interpersonal and communication skills including presentation skills and organizational skills; and experience with fraternal or affinity organizations. Strongly preferred experience as a volunteer or exhibited working knowledge of a long-term care facility or continuing care retirement community.
Salary & Benefits:
This is a full-time position. Salary range of $75,000 - $90,000 commensurate with qualifications and relevant experience; we ask that you provide your salary requirements in your cover letter. In addition to competitive pay, we provide a benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, Vision and Life Insurances, a 403(b)retirement plan with up to 3% match, PTO and 11 paid Holidays and a Wellness Program to discount the medical premium.
