EHS Manager Proactively administers and executes all facility plans, programs, and policies related to Environmental, Health and Safety. Serves as the site leader ensuring compliance through training, auditing, and certifications. Manages EHS team and site in support of Masonite’s Environmental/ Health/ Safety Mission Statement. Liaison to other Masonite sites as well as corporate operations, safety, environmental and legal personnel. Roles and Responsibilities: Develops, implements, conducts, and documents employee related training including; safety programs, hazardous waste management, storm water best management practices, air pollution control, secondary containment, & environmental incident reporting. Responsible for management and compliance of all OSHA regulations. Ensures compliance with all local, state, and federal laws, ordinances, and regulations for all safety, Health environmental programs including OSHA, Title V air quality, hazardous waste, solid waste, storm water, and wastewater management. Environmental: Coordinates and ensures timely and accurate completion and submittal of all environmental and associated regulatory reports, certifications, permit and license applications, and assists with required environmental regulatory inspections. Provides regulatory guidance, strategic planning, and technical expertise on all facility air and water quality standards, solid, hazardous, universal waste management affairs and storm water / industrial wastewater environmental regulations. Completes and submits all Title V Air Operating Permit major, minor, and administrative modification application submittals. Maintains air emissions records and all monthly Title V air emission calculations. Directs and reviews the work of third-party consultants and stack testing contractors developing air permitting applications & stack test reports including the associated analyses and air dispersion modeling. Stays abreast of changes to current environmental regulations and is proactively monitoring potential new regulations being drafted and/or proposed to Congress at both the state and federal levels. Conducts comprehensive environmental audits to determine compliance with environmental regulations and reduce Masonite’s environmental liability. Documents findings and develops cost-effective compliance strategies and/or reduction(s) in environmental liability. Health: Responsible for promoting a healthy work environment via implementing and monitoring ergonomically sound practices and procedures Fosters a culture of preventative health related issues and. Works close with the production and office teams to ensure workstations and production equipment reduce the risk of eye and physical strains and stresses Works in conjunction with onsite health specialists, i.e. company nurse, etc. Safety: Provides coaching, auditing, and training employees in safe behavioral safety activity to promote a safe working environment and increase safety awareness Conducts and monitors incident reporting and investigations Inspects facilities to identify existing or potentially hazardous conditions Establishes and maintains an effective system of communication within the organization, leads the employee safety committee, and works closely with department managers and employees Analyzes and updates policies, procedures and plans in accordance with governmental or company guidelines Identifies monitors, evaluates and tracks all safety activities through audits, statistical analysis and computerized record keeping Review and ensure safety SOPs and training records are up to date Qualifications Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering/Science or Safety related field Minimum 5-7 years related environmental compliance experience preferably in a manufacturing environment. Experience in air quality permitting and regulations including Title V (FESOP) RCRA Large Quantity Generator compliance experience Experience in designing facility specific compliance documents Experience in designing and delivering various related training program We Help People Walk Through Walls We respect the privacy of candidates for employment.
