Works under general supervision of Linglin Huang (Postdoctoral Research Fellow) at the Kuchroo Lab in the Department of Neurology; assits Linglin Huang and other lab members in data analysis.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. To assist and/or perform: - bulk RNA-seq data analysis, including but not limited to preprocessing, quality control, differential expression analysis, gene set enrichment analysis. - bulk ATAC-seq data analysis, including but not limited to preprocessing, quality control, peak calling, peak annotation, differential accessibility analysis, motif scan and enrichment analysis. - single-cell sequencing data analysis, including but not limited to preprocessing, quality control, hashtag demultiplexing, clustering and annotation, differential expression analysis, trajectory analysis, cell-cell intereaction analysis, data visualization. - Other statistical analyses. 3. To perform daily tasks: - Attend lab meetings and department seminars QUALIFICATIONS: Excellent interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, excellent programming skills and etiquette, familiarity with bioinformatics tools and pipelines for high-throughput sequencing data analysis. SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: Ability to work well independently. Excellent interpersonal skills to be able to interact with a variety of people with different levels of understanding in statistics and computational biology. Strong team player and can communicate well within an interdisciplinary team. High level of organizational skills with strong attention to detail. Ability to search, learn and apply appropriate computational methods to answer questions of interest. WORKING CONDITIONS: Normal laboratory environment.
