As the Technical Project Manager, you will ensure effective and on-time delivery of projects. You will collaborate with business owners and technical leaders to define deployment scope, deliverables, tasks, and required resources and will ensure anticipated benefits are realized with a successful deployment. You will lead project teams, proactively identify risks, and work with key stakeholders to mitigate those risks and any potential downstream impacts.
Primary Functions :
- Create and maintain project artifacts, including project plan.
- Maintain established communication rhythm for each assigned project.
- Ensure projects remain on schedule, within budget, and within scope.
- Manage project timeline, RAID log, and change control.
- Work with functional managers to validate resource utilization/capacity planning.
- Form a strong relationship with the business owners to identify and resolve risks, issues, and blockers and escalate issues and concerns appropriately.
- Monitor and report on project performance on a regular basis.
- Oversee Agile ceremonies when appropriate.
- Deliver projects on-time according to functional and quality specifications.
- Ensure project plans result in an operationalized deliverable as part of delivery assurance.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree is required
- An active Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification is required.
- 3 years of technical project management with experience managing concurrent projects across functional teams, managing critical path, and coordinating deployments.
- Proven success delivering projects in an Agile environment.
- Proven ability to solve problems and drive projects to completion by identifying needs, raising awareness of risk, and influencing without direct authority.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to identify the needed level of stakeholder engagement.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products (i.e. Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Teams, etc.)
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of project planning tools (i.e., Jira, ServiceNow, Smartsheet, etc.)
