The 1st Class Pipe Welder will play a crucial role in the construction of ships and other marine vessels. 1st Class Pipe Welder(s) will need to pass MBB’s Pipe Welding Test and demonstrate proficiency, knowledge, and the ability to consistently produce high-quality welds under the direction of the welding foreman or yard superintendent. This position will work to directly contribute to the integrity, safety, and functionality of marine vessels.

Full Time Position: Monday-Thursday 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM and Friday 6:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including welders, pipefitters, and supervisors, to coordinate tasks and ensure timely completion of projects.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.

• Proven experience as a Pipe Welder in shipbuilding or maritime construction.
• Ability to pass and certify on 6g or 6gr.
• Familiarity with welding tools, equipment, and procedures.
• Capable of handling physical workload and working in various positions.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Additional technical training or certification in welding, fabrication, or shipbuilding preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in confined spaces as required in a shipbuilding environment.
• Physical agility and dexterity to perform tasks such as bending, stooping, and reaching.
• Willingness to work in various weather conditions and environments, including indoor and outdoor settings.
