Job Title: Talent Acquisition Specialist
Classification: Exempt
Reports To: Human Resources Manager

Work Schedule: M-F 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Work Location: Onsite; Belton, Missouri
Job SummaryThe Talent Acquisition Specialist will manage the full lifecycle of recruiting, ensuring that the organization has the right talent at the right time within the right budget.
Essential Functions
  • Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the talent acquisition process.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to create and update job descriptions.
  • Candidate sourcing, including job posting and advertisement processes.
  • Represent Master’s Transportation at networking events and job fairs.
  • Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
  • Screens applications and selects qualified candidates.
  • Schedules interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
  • Assists with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders.
  • Advise hiring managers on interviewing, hiring, and candidate evaluation.
  • Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
  • Administration of the candidate lifecycle including pre-employment screening, onboarding, and orientation.
  • Succession planning support.
  • Provide guidance and forecasting for future hiring needs.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
  • Attends and participates in college job fairs and recruiting sessions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.
  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Excellent soft skills, relationship building skills, and organizational skills.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
Work Environment: Private, Climate-controlled office environment.
Physical Demands: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Required Education/Experience/Certifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or related field, or the equivalent industry experience in an HR / recruiting capacity, required.
  • Thorough understanding of EEO, ADA, and other related employment laws and guidelines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Preferred Education/Experience/Certifications
  • At least two years managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process is highly preferred.
  • Recruiting experience in transportation, sales, and/or manufacturing industries preferred.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP.
  • SHRM’s Talent Acquisition Specialty Credential a plus.
  • Experience with ADP preferred.
Travel Requirements: Less than 20% travel required.
