SASE Engineer

Duration: 18 Months, possibility to extend

Location: Jersey City, NJ

Designation: Hybrid, 3 days/week on-site, 2 days/remote

Rate: $60 - $65/hr on W2

Position Overview

Responsibilities / Necessary Skills / Attributes

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in network security, with a focus on remote access VPN technologies.
• Extensive experience with Cisco VPN solutions, Cisco Defense Orchestrator (CDO), BGP routing, and Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE).
• Hands-on experience with Palo Alto SASE solutions and cloud security architectures.
• Proficient in configuring and managing Cisco ASA, Firepower, and AnyConnect VPN solutions.
• Proficient in configuring and managing Cisco ISE for secure VPN authentication and authorization.
• Strong understanding of VPN protocols (IPsec, SSL/TLS), encryption, and authentication methods.
• Extensive experience with BGP configuration, management, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with automation and orchestration tools in network security environments.
• Familiarity with Zero Trust security models and frameworks.
• Experience in a multi-cloud environment, with knowledge of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) security practices.
• Experience with network security monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
• Knowledge of cloud security principles and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote work environment.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of security and reliability.

• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Security or equivalent certification.
• Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) or equivalent certification is a plus.
