Turbine Pump Foreman

OVERVIEW:

Turbine Pumps are our Bread n Butter! The Turbine Pump Foreman will lead the safe installation of Deep Set Lineshaft Turbine Well Pumps and other water systems field projects. This includes leading, motivating and teaching other crew members working under them. The Turbine Pump Forman is responsible for their safety and the safety of the crew. In this role they will be able to work towards earning a Washington State Pump Specialty License and continue building understanding of pumps, electric motors, electric panels/controls, variable frequency drives, valving, pressure tanks, and more.

$28-35 per hour depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

• Take ownership for quick completion and quality of projects including photos of finished work, clean up, unloading, disposal, organization, restocking of trucks, returning unused products to warehouse, and replacing tools.
• Prepare work after receiving and studying work orders. Gather necessary tools and supplies
• Drive manual transmission vehicles to and from project sites
• Wire and install pumps, motors, tanks, pipes, valves, controls and other accessories
• Repair electrical problems by replacing faulty parts/components. Safely follow standards and procedures. Complying with electrical and plumbing codes
• Fully record time and materials.
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities

Applications vary, but we are especially skilled with well installations, primarily Water Lube, less than 400', but up to 1000’ deep 3’ diameter wells. Submersible turbine work is also regular. Municipal - Industrial - Commercial - Agricultural Installations. Mostly working with a Smeal 12R, and Smeal 10T, with some Smeal 6T work, our 18 ton crane or an outsourced crane. Safe, well maintained equipment.

Required knowledge, skills and abilities:

• 3 years experience working as the foreman primarily with lineshaft turbine pumps.
• Availability for occasional out-of-town work, but not the majority of the time.

• Crane certification
• CDL - Commercial Driver's License
• Lifting and Rigging Safety knowledge
• Torch Cutting
• Knowledge of hand and power tools
• Able to regularly lift 100 lbs.
• Drug test and background check. Clean driving record

Preferred

• Startup and Commissioning experience is a plus.
• Experience with 150 HP and larger submersible turbines is a plus.
• Expertise with repair of the turbine pumps themselves or with vfd's and control panels is a plus.
