Our well-known sporting goods & fashion client is looking for a Product Design and Development - Pattern Engineer to join their team. This 2.5 month long, contract role will be onsite at the Beaverton, Oregon Headquarters.

Job Description:

The nature of the work is focused on research and development of products from conception to retail to meet the needs of accounts and consumers.

Responsibilities:

-Collaborates with the Marketing and Design team to interpret design concept into 2- dimensional patterns.

-Consults with product triad to clarify concepts and lend pattern-making and fit technical expertise.

-Creates first models from concept pictures. Incorporates styling and fit changes determined by design/marketing/development during fit sessions or design process.

-Inspects and critiques samples.

-Creates and/or revises product specifications with construction details for production.

-Ensures specifications detail construction methods that optimizes profitability.

Capabilities:

- Sewing/assembling garments

- Patternmaking skills

- Clo and/or Optitex experience

- Understanding of fit/tone/aesthetic

- Sourcing materials & trims

The pay for this W-2 position ranges from $45.00-$50.00 per hour. This position may be eligible for PTO, health and dental insurance, and/or 401(k) benefits upon meeting certain length of service and hours requirements.
