Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Implement & Support Mativ's Global EHS Programs:
  • Help develop and maintain Mativ's Global EHS policies, procedures, and goals.
  • Conduct regular reviews and trainings of policies with key stakeholders and updates of EHS policies to maintain compliance and industry best practices.
  • Develop and assist implementing company-wide Level 1 written policies. Create and manage library of site level 2 policy templates to be used by sites to develop site-specific programs.
  • Act as technical resource for complex EHS topics such as machine safeguarding, hazardous energy control, confined spaces, risk assessment process, etc. Manage EHS-related and EHS-adjacent standards under ANSI, ISO, EN, DIN and others.
  • Manage Corporate EHS SharePoint site, including training materials, best practices library, training library. Keep materials organized and easy to access.
Support Global Safety Analytics Reporting:
  • Leverage and maintain Velocity EHS tools for accurate and timely operational reporting including EHS reporting. Including Risk Assessment Scores, Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR), OSHA Recordable, Lost Time Injury Rate.
  • Analyze safety performance metrics and prepare detailed reports for senior management.
  • Help consolidate and migrate site level safety reporting into a consolidated spend analytics tool (Power BI) and support tool adoption though training and related change management efforts.
EHS Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
  • Support regular risk assessments and safety audits across all manufacturing sites in-person or virtually.
  • Conduct gap surveys to determine individual facility gaps, and common gaps across the enterprise.
  • Manage and assist in remediating FM Global open items in Human Elements of Safety.
Training and Development:
  • Support EHS Business Leaders develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees at all levels.
  • Measure compliance against EHS programs post training.
  • Promote continuous improvement and safety awareness through regular training sessions and communication.
Compliance and Regulatory Affairs:
  • Stay updated on Environmental, Social, Health and Safety regulatory and customer compliance standards relevant to Mativ's businesses
  • Collaborate with Sourcing, Legal, Operations, Quality and Customer Services to ensure consolidate regulatory and compliance related deliverables
  • Help consolidate and prepare reporting required for regulatory and compliance deliverables and audits.
Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with site managers and other stakeholders to ensure EHS standards are met.
  • Foster a culture of safety through effective communication and collaboration.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on EHS performance and initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
  • Professional certification in EHS (e.g., CSP, CIH, NEBOSH) is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS management within a manufacturing environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of global EHS regulations and standards.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing EHS programs and policies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a global, multicultural environment.
  • High proficiency in EHS management software, Microsoft Office Suite and other data analytics platforms.
