Responsibilities and Expectations:
- Provide leadership to manufacturing employees by being visible, clear in communicating relevant information, and coaching to drive employee performance.
- Accountable for maintaining accurate quality metrics and concise, professional communication with our internal and external customers.
- Drive continuous improvement of site procedures and processes to drive lower customer complaints, higher efficiencies, and lower costs to the business.
- Train and assist in the development/onboarding plans of new hires.
- Analyze opportunities to improve quality and yield by engaging employees through continuous improvement activities.
- Create and maintain a culture of respect, professionalism, and cooperation among the team.
- Participate in the development and implementation of the cost savings program.
- Participate in the development and implementation of the capital project program.
- Administer the Proficy Quality Control program.
- Maintain and calibrate all necessary testing equipment, product specification process, and non-conforming product management.
- Demonstrated leadership experience.
- Highly motivated and self-directed to enable success in working in a matrix reporting environment.
- Ability to develop and execute strategic improvement plans.
- Demonstrated ability to positively engage employees toward completing tasks and goals.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Attentive listening
- Ability to coach employees through challenges.
- Collaborative and systematic problem solving – focusing on mistake-proofing and engineered solutions.
- Computer skills necessary to administer quality control software (Proficy), run quality analytics, and maintain quality spreadsheets.
- College degree in engineering, management, or manufacturing fields.
- 5 years of experience in the quality field, preferably in manufacturing.
- 2 – 3 years of experience in quality leadership role.
