We are seeking a Project Controls Specialist to join our team. The “Project Controls Specialist” will play a critical role in supporting the planning, monitoring, and execution of our clients’ projects. You will utilize your expertise in project controls methodologies and tools to support project teams to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Candidates should be willing to work in the office full-time (Woodlands, TX) with some flexibility for remote work during the week. The candidate will need to be prepared to temporarily relocate to specific job sites in the South / Southeast as project needs require.
Mid to Sr. Level candidates are encouraged to apply. Pay rates and title will be commensurate with required experience.
Responsibilities:
Project Planning: Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation. Utilize project management software (such as Primavera) to create and maintain project schedules.
Performance Monitoring: Monitor project performance against baseline plans, identifying deviations and potential risks. Utilize Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques to assess project progress, analyze cost and schedule variances, and forecast future performance.
Risk Management: Assist in identifying and assessing project risks and opportunities, developing risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans as needed. Maintain risk registers and collaborate with project teams to implement risk mitigation measures and monitor risk exposure throughout the project lifecycle.
Cost Control: Assist in the development and maintenance of project budgets, tracking project costs against approved budgets and forecasts. Analyze cost trends and provide recommendations to optimize project spending and ensure cost efficiency.
Change Management: Facilitate the change management process, assessing proposed changes to project scope, schedule, and budget. Collaborate with project teams to evaluate change impacts, assess feasibility, and implement approved changes in a timely manner.
Reporting and Communication: Prepare and distribute regular project status reports, highlighting key performance indicators, milestones achieved, and upcoming deliverables. Communicate effectively with project teams, stakeholders, and management to provide timely updates and address any issues or concerns.
Quality Assurance: Ensure that project controls processes and procedures are followed consistently across all projects, adhering to organizational standards and best practices. Conduct regular reviews and audits to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
