We are currently seeking a Psychiatric Technician to work at the Navy Medicine Readiness & Training Command New England in Newport, RI. This is a full-time position with competitive compensation ranging from $23.99 to $31.75 per hour, along with a $2500 sign-on bonus.
Job Details
- **Role:** Outpatient Behavioral Health Psychiatric Technician
- **Clinical Setting:** Medical Readiness Clinic, Behavioral Health Area
- **Employment Status:** Full Time
- **Schedule:** Monday - Friday (between 7:30 AM and 5:00 PM)

- Degree: Certificate
- Education: Graduation from an accredited Psychiatric Technician Program or equivalent
- Experience: Minimum of one year as a Psychiatric Technician after graduation
- Monitor and participate in patient activities
- Provide patient care with infection control measures
- Assess patient conditions and document accurately
- Manage crisis situations effectively
- Assist in treatment and rehabilitation programs
- Administrative Responsibilities
- Obtain and record patient information
- Schedule clinic appointments
- Serve as ANAM facilitator
- Monitor and report quality compliance
- Attend ANAM/NCAT facilitator training
- Cross-Functional Duties
- Provide treatment and rehabilitation services
- Identify mental health diagnoses
- Coordinate care with other agencies
- Maintain treatment records
- Assist with acute stress reactions
