Matrix Providers, a leading healthcare company serving America's military family, is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our dedicated team in San Diego, CA.
Key Details
- Employment Status: Full Time
- Compensation: Hourly rate of $18.92 to $27.65
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 am - 5:00 pm with a 9-hour shift including a 60-minute lunch break

- Degree: Certificate
- Education: Graduate from a medical assistant training program accredited by CAAHEP, ABHES, ACCSC, ACICS, ACCET, or ACCJC.
- Experience: Minimum one year of work experience as a Medical Assistant after graduation.
- Certification: Current certification as a medical assistant by AAMA or current registration by AMT or other formal programs.
- Prepare examination rooms before patient arrival.
- Assist with patient check-ins, admissions, discharges, and transfers as directed.
- Take and record vital signs (temperature, respiration, pulse, weight, blood pressure, and pulse oximeter reading).
- Obtain and document patient's current medical history, drug history, chief complaints, allergies, and vital signs on the appropriate form.
- Perform diagnostic procedures as ordered.
- Maintain examination room stock levels and perform routine maintenance of examination rooms.
- Complete lab and x-ray requisitions according to clinic policies.
- Enter demographic data into the computer upon patient check-in; enter diagnosis and departure time when patient is released.
