Matrix Providers is hiring two Clinical Psychologists to join our team of talented professionals who provide health care services to our Military Service Members and their families at the Naval Medicine Readiness & Training Unit in Groton, Connecticut and Newport, Rhode Island.

Newport, Rhode Island, Clinical Psychologist

• Setting: Clinical, Medical Homeport
• Role: Internal Behavioral Health Consultant, Clinical Psychologist, will evaluate and treat patients dealing with various issues, including pain management, psychological factors influencing physical conditions, or difficulty coping with medical problems, while providing psychological assessments and interventions to support patients in managing their physical health and well-being

Groton, Connecticut, Clinical Psychologist

• Setting: Clinical , Medical Readiness Clinic
• Role: Provide Post Deployment Health Readiness Re-Assessment at the Medical Readiness Clinic

• Compensation: $160,000 - 175,060 Annually
• Sign on Bonus: $5000
• Relocation assistance available
• Schedule: Monday - Friday
  • No Nights, No Weekends
  • No On-Call

Clinical Psychologist Minimum Qualifications:

• Degree: Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD)
• Education: Graduate from an American Psychology Association-accredited college or university with a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology
• Internship/Residency: Successful completion of an internship in psychology
  accredited by the American Psychological Association
• Experience:
  • Groton, Connecticut Role: One year of experience within the last two years working with patient population with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
  • Newport, Rhode Island Role: One year of experience in the last three years in the evaluation and treatment of patients who have pain, psychological factors affecting their physical condition, or difficulty coping with medical problems OR one year fellowship or residency in health psychology
• Licensure: Current, complete, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a psychologist in any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, or the US Virgin Islands

Job Summary:

• Practice within the guidelines of their state licensing board, American Psychological Association Ethical Principles and Code of Conduct, and MTF privileges
• Conduct psychological evaluations utilizing information from clinical interviews,
  psychological testing, and collateral sources, as appropriate
• Establish psychiatric diagnoses according to the American Psychiatric Association Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Disorders
• Provide psychological treatment for individuals and groups; help medical and surgical patients deal with illnesses or injuries
• Assist in the rehabilitation of patients
