About the Role
The Shipping Clerk is responsible for ensuring that all shipping and receiving documents are completed accurately and in a timely fashion. Communicates with customers as required, and in conjunction with customers' Traffic Departments, develops inbound and outbound schedules.
What you'll do:

• Inbound/Outbound Freight- In conjunction with customers' Traffic Departments schedule all inbound and outbound freight to comply with the warehouse's operations and capacities.
• Records - Ensure the accuracy of all receiving and shipping documents. Gather and maintain all data and records relative to shipping and receiving activities. Assure orders and shipping quantities match picking documents. Assist in resolving any discrepancies. Collect all documentation for inbound freight and route to the proper record keeping unit.
• Pallet Control - Direct and oversee the pallet control and exchange program.
• Comply with all Company rules, policies, and procedures. Work and behave safely by following all safety rules and regulations.
• Perform any task required to support customer requirements and Company goals.

• Aid with or complete special projects at the discretion of the Operations Lead or Operations Supervisor.
• Ensure good security processes are followed with regard to the front desk (driver and visitor sign in).

And these qualifications:

• Five (5) or more years of related Warehousing & Distribution leadership experience and/or training. This related experience may be substituted for degree; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Proven track record of successful innovation experience in Warehousing & Distribution.

Extra credit if you have:

• Ability to travel as necessary to various MLW locations, clients, carriers, etc.
• A proven track record of leadership, growth, and innovation in the Warehousing & Distribution.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
• Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.

The hourly rate for this position in California is $21.00.
